Ultra Prism, released on February 2, 2018 between Crimson Invasion and Forbidden Light, is a top-heavy set. In our data, the six Rare Prism Star cards have a median PSA 10 price of about $775, far above the next rarities: Rainbow Rares at about $238 and Rare Ultras at about $209.

Not every Prism Star follows that pattern. Super Boost Energy ◇ sells for about $115 in a PSA 10 and returns only about 24%.

The Rare Ultras split in two. Lillie and Cynthia have the highest PSA 10 prices outside the Prism Stars, near $1,425 and $750, but they also cost the most raw, about $468 and $246, which holds their returns to about 155% and 123%. Dialga-GX shows the other end: about $21 raw against $405 in a PSA 10, for roughly 265%.

Grading stops paying further down. Lusamine has a PSA 10 near $318 but returns about 26%, and Lana, Gardenia and Volkner return 18% or less. Crushing Hammer costs more raw, about $73, than its PSA 10 price of about $59.

Ultra Prism grading questions

What is the best card to grade from Ultra Prism?

On current prices it's Solgaleo ◇, at a 2702% Return on Grading. It sells for around $17.06 raw and $3000.00 in a PSA 10, so the graded price covers the $90.00 it costs to grade and ship with room left over. Prices move weekly, so check the card page before you submit.

What is the most valuable card in Ultra Prism?

By graded price it's Solgaleo ◇, selling for about $3000.00 in a PSA 10. That isn't automatically the best card to grade - an expensive chase card usually costs a lot raw as well, which eats into the return.

How many cards are in Ultra Prism?

Ultra Prism has 178 cards, all of them listed and priced here. 64 currently have enough recent PSA 10 sales for us to score a Return on Grading; the rest are listed with their raw price until graded sales data comes through.

Is Ultra Prism worth grading?

24 cards in Ultra Prism currently return over 100% on grading, meaning a PSA 10 more than doubles the money you put in. A further 16 don't repay the $90.00 in fees even in a PSA 10, so it's a set to pick from rather than submit wholesale.

How much does it cost to grade a Ultra Prism card?

Every Return on Grading figure on this page assumes $80.00 for grading plus $10.00 for shipping, or $90.00 per card, matching PSA's Regular tier. You can change both in the calculator on any card page to match the tier and postage you actually use.
